OK, first off, please excuse my non-professional review. I know the majority of reviews involve certain "jazz" songs and what not, but I don't listen to any of that stuff, so PLEASE bare with me on this, thanks fellas.

I've owned the Mb Quart RWE352 for approx 6-8 weeks now. I bought it from woofersetc.com for $110 shipped, excellent price and excellent site to deal with.

I haven't had bass in the car since October, my last sub was a TC-9 based Eclipse 12" in a 1.0 cu ft sealed box, seeing about 600 watts RMS. And before that was a eD 13ov.2 in 1.5 ported tuned to 35hz, seeing the same amount of power. AND, before that was a MAW-15 in 2.2 sealed then 3.1 ported tuned to 32hz.

Obviously, the MAW and eD were the "loudest" (in ported boxes) of the bunch. Both subs gave a beating to my little Honda with only about 600 watts going to them, and the MAW sounded **** clean for $100 at the time they were still in production, in the sealed box though. The 13ov2. had a very "unique" sound, it wasn't a low end monster by any means, but it was VERY musical. I also tried it in a 1.0 cu ft sealed and it sounded even "tighter". The MAW ported would destroy my car, you could hear me coming from a ways away. Surprisingly as it was only seeing 600 watts from the Alpine.

Anyway, on to the TC-9. That thing played stupid low and took all 600 watts, and even laughed at it. It wasn't as musical as the eD, but it sure did take a beating, and was 9/10th as loud as the MAW ported, while still sounding MUCH cleaner/accurate. It was plenty loud for my needs, it wouldn't over power my mids/highs like the MAW would.

OK, lets get back on track here. Like I've said, I've owned the Mb for about 6-8 weeks now, in 1.75 sealed (It calls for 1.5 sealed).

Jmanpc told me it was one of his favorite subs, and how nice and accurate it sounded, and I trust his word, so I bought one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Build quality is top notch. Not only is it a sexy looking sub, but the inverted surround is too cool. I think more subs should adapt this feature. The motor isn't very large, and the sub can't weigh more than 15 lbs tops. The cone has NO logo or anything on it, probably my favorite cosmetic feature. If I remember correctly, it was woven tinsel leads too. I'm pretty sure it utilizes a pressed paper cone with a dust cap similar to the Xcon, all one piece.

I listen to a lot of "Staind" and "Breaking Benjamin", along with some Aerosmith, Boston, Guns n' Roses, a lot of classic stuff.

One of my favorite songs to test out on a sub is Breaking Benjamin's "Firefly". Towards the end of the song it has stupid fast drum beats, only subs before that could keep up was the MAW sealed and now the Mb.

One of my other favorite's is "Sober" from Staind, the live acoustic version of course. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The sub blends so beautifully with my mids it gives me goose bumps. It's like there's not even a sub, that's how well it blends. Very hard to describe. My other favorite is "It's been a while" by Staind, the bass rolls in very smooth and has a lot of "kick" to it when they start to jam.

Every other type of music I mentioned sounds fantastic, absolutely ZERO distortion and no sloppiness what so ever.

Now, on to the RAP! My favorite rapper is "Plies". I have always liked his music, I can listen to most of his CD's without ever skipping a song.

One of my favorites is off his new CD, "Plenty Money" I believe it's called, the bass isn't loud, but the beats just kick ***. His other song off his new CD is called "All Black" I believe, and man does the Mb get STUPID low and destroys my car, makes my ears hurt.

I forgot to mention I'm throwing 1200 RMS at the sub, much more than it's rated for, but my gains are set very conservatively, maybe 1/3 the way up, with bass on 0, unless it's rock I set it at +4 on the 9855.

Well, that's my review so far, I know it's far from professional, but I hope it helps some of you pick out a budget SQ sub.

Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Awesome subs for the price for sure... Heard them in a bunch of setups and was super impressed by all of em. I wish i could do like 12 of them under the window line in my explorer, taking out the back seats obviously. Would absolutely destroy the lows and would sound awesome for a bassrace setup.
