Even were I mounted them at its not 100% aimed were I want them to. Its close enough for me not to care though. The Zx850.4 will be here tomorrow. It will be going in promptly after class. Actually after I get back from b-day dinner(father-in-laws b-day) at their house. They are wayyyyy off axis. the sail point slightly toward the windshield, something I didn't account for. The set is incredible. The cal26's are so freaking detailed, I can't wait to get some more power. I managed to get the mids to integrate very well with the sub stage. I will try running them passive for a bit. If I get bored I will yank the crossovers and run them active. I have some ideas for re-aiming the tweeters, just want to run it past a few other people before I buy the supplies.

I really like the cal-27's. Are you running cal-26's?

What setting for attenuation are you running?

I've got mine set so the driver side tweeter is pointing at passenger headrest and vice versa.

Woops, I did make that mistake didn't I. cal27's is what I meant. I think they are at +3. The + setting is what I used b/c they are aimed pretty much at the dash. That will change once I get the sails redone. I want to have the same alignment you do. As close to it as possible.

If it's +, it's +6 - only other options are -3db and 'reference' which is i believe still -3db (it might be a flat +/- 0db), but with the gradual -2db low pass above 4khz which i didn't like in my car. I found +6 to be verrrry loud bordering on harsh with rock like linkin park when the tweets are more directed towards you.... i really wish there was a +2db or +3db setting..

I'm particularly proud of my electrical-tape mounted tweeters. I'm hoping nobody will gank my **** simply because my car looks ghetto enough that nobody should expect this stuff to be worth anything...

that's my story and i'm sticking to it. BRB, going to beat on the car some with a baseball bat...

I also wished there was a +3 on this crossover. +6 is def a bit harsh on some music. I wish I could just stay home today and remedy the issue, but I need to not miss anymore classes.

215rms going into a tweeter active is going to be harsh to say the least, but only 1 way to find out.

Looks like active isn't going to happen. The birth sheet on this ZX850.4 is 897watts. I know I won't be getting near this, but the potential to is leading me to just run them passively. I don't think the tweeters would be happy with 250ish watts to themselves.

On that note. The amp came today. Sitting here looking pretty. I might throw it in tonight.
