my new HO Alt doesn't fit

I started to mention this, but in a situation like this, I think it should be up to him to confirm that the alternator would fit, instead of trusting the word of a private re-seller without anything other than a yes, it will fit. Ya know what I'm saying?

Its also faulse advertisement. If you buy a product from anyone and they say it will fit, no matter who it is they are held responsible for it. I doubt the guys gonna send u 50 bucks for you to get it to fit. all sales are final mean that you cant return it. BUT if hes wrong, then he should pay it.

Take it to a local alternator rebuild shop and see if they could trade out the case for you. I'm sure it would be cheaper than shipping it back somewhere.

The alt is a direct bolt-in for:

(1996) Buick Regal 3.8L

(1999-95) Chevrolet Camaro 3.8L

(1998) Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo 3.8L

(1998-95) Pontiac Firebird 3.8L

(1998-97) Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8L

For the Gran Prix it's all models with the 3800 for 97, and all Non Supercharged models with the 3800 for 98.

He copied and pasted this list into a PM he sent me, because someone posted that list in the for sale thread. He had it listed as a GM small case which is why the other person posted that list. If it was a small case or if I had a 3.1L it would fit my car. It is made for a 1996 Regal with a 3.1.
