get another stick of 1GB ram.

up the video card to atleast a 6800GT if you can find one. The GS is clocked higher but lacks the same amount of pipelines.

not too expensive, and sounds like a solid system. before i even had a car, i put nearly $3k into my version of maximum PC's 2002 dream machine. it's still used day to day. only had to replace the motherboard last december.

sounds like a pretty solid start....

if you can afford it, maybe a 2nd harddrive (10g rpm for windows) 2 gigs of ram, upgrade the 6800 to the gt at least and maybe a second drive....

i changed the video card to a different 6800 thats overclocked when you buy it from 425 to like 485mhz

i would definitely go with amd, hyper transport/overclocking is awesome and you can get em for cheaper than intels. also i would look into a new case/power supply. better can be had for that much. i would make these changes:

i dont see how that case is any better i want a case to look kool kinda like audiobawn

im set on the other stuff but just trying to figure out if i want XP media center or what ever else and if MCE will work right

what tv tuner to get because some say this ones software sucks but if you use it with media center the mce software is really good and blah blah

and which video card i think im going with the over clocked nvidia 6800gs

That processor has the same core as the FX57 series, and can easily be OC'd to there. Read the reviews, there isn't a bad one.
