yea, most of us already know this. But I figured BG didn't, and 20 min, or overnight would make him feel all warm and fuzzy about it. And I always use activator .... 20 min, start to finish, back in box and playing ....LOL @ 20 minutes. With CA glue surround to frame? 2 minutes tops. If you're using activator about 2 seconds and they're never coming apart.
wow.. if u thought i over did it on screws wait til u see sub clips when my email works again..No glue issues here..
yeah i told him it won't my job to glue his subs and he should tell his guys to use more glue.. and while i know it's easy thing for ya'll to do it's been kind of a pain and i gotta wait til tomorrow to see if it worked and then put in car and hope it don't break again.. i told him i'll try to fix this time but he better remember i did that if it messes up again..Just my 2 cents...
If I received a sub and glue failed I would warranty that thing right away. I realize it's an easy fix, however if there was an issue with the glue used on that one spot it stands to reason that the driver could have issues in other spots. Also now that you have 'repaired' it will that now void the warranty if another part of the driver fails?
It's the company's responsibility to assure quality control of their product and they should also cover the cost of shipping. you're the customer and assuming you paid retail cost then part of what you should expect to get is proper customer service. If this happened to me and I was told 'Just glue it'...I would say FU (see what I did there) and demand a refund. He's paid to assemble subwoofers, not you.
Just my opinion as a consumer.
ok so did i over do it?yea, most of us already know this. But I figured BG didn't, and 20 min, or overnight would make him feel all warm and fuzzy about it. And I always use activator .... 20 min, start to finish, back in box and playing ....

Sounds like a good way to ruin a strong glued joint. Running screws in after the fact probably split the MDF. I doubt he drilled pilot holes. He added screws AFTER it was already built with glue and screws..
Exactly.Sounds like a good way to ruin a strong glued joint. Running screws in after the fact probably split the MDF. I doubt he drilled pilot holes.
