My new 18" 80lbs baby. 56k beware.

humm dave use a Z for daily and he said it work well and sound very decent for a spl sub and i can get the z for 3000
I am sure it does. But it also requires alot of power.

I can get it as well. Whats your point? it's msrp is much higher.

why you have to be rude

I am not in the mood to put up with ignorant statements. Thats why.

I am a big believer in the "think before you open that thing you talk with" approach.

Sorry if i come off as a jackass

however kasey, if you are as knowledgeable as I thought you were from what I have seen on the soundpressure forum and on here... Then you would know that a comparison of woofers doesn't immediately mean spl, or which is the best. Also you would know that msrp isn't incorporated into what speakers are or aren't tested.

wow you are a n00bx because that LMS has amazing sound quality compared to those DD's. Comparing the SQ of those subs is saying like Pyle's sound better than Focals...

no "dave" hasnt used his z's.. he states that like every time he posts thie same pic over and over and over. so his opinion on them is worthless... also- alan dante's score is irrelivant in this thread, as this woofer is not going in a wall to be a one note wonder. maybe go back to http://www.ddboner.com

never said DD sounded better i was just wonder why he was putting the top of the line against second top of the like and using a SPL to judge the subs hummm.. last time a check A DB is a DB and the number dont tell u which sounds better just tell you which is louder so when people like see the video they go wow and go out and buy a 3k sub...plus i 3k some cost 2700 more then the 9500 series and someone complained about the z being 800 more oh well i do hope you have a great test and i wish you all the best:)

MSRP does not reflect a speaker's output or sound quality.

The reason why I think the treo ssx and the 9500 would be a good pair to test against is because of the fact that they are all three made for daily driving. And all three can take 4000w.

Yes I plan on using a TL in a portion of the testing. What I am planning on looking at: Output/frequencies(aka burps), Output/Music, SQ/Music... there are some more things I plan on looking at besides JUST output.

the 9500 and the 9900 series are meant more for daily setups like i mentioned before. The Z series are more for one note wonders.

as the LMS is made for a high powered daily driver speaker just like the 9500's and the ssx's I think it's a fair comparison due to the fact that I KNOW that all three of these subs will take 4000w.

Honestly I have no clue as to what would be louder. Or if I prefer the response of a treo or a dd over the LMS. That's what I am aiming to find out.
