Here is my Box I am going to build for my 12" mt.

Any suggestions?

Now what would I use for bracing?

And how do I brace the box?

Will i need it?

Is 40 square inches good enough for port area?

40^2"s should be alright..round over the edges of the port and opening to reduce the chance of port noise if youre worried about it..

When it comes to ported boxes, id stay away from bracing...use some 3/4" all-thread if you are dead-set on it.

Why's that? I have always been told/read that any large ported box should be braced...

Now as to the double baffe Matt281, wouldnt that help for a 70 pound 18" driver?
idk?..depends how large the box is..we ran 4 mt 15"s on a .5" baffle at finals...

obviously, if its a huge box bracing and doubling the baffle will help..but, typically its a waste of time.
