Another simple one......nice birch sealed box for a TC9 12" sub. Nothing crazy, just glue and screws. Only thing i have left is the sub cutout and filling in the screw holes with wood filler. Used a 3/8" roundover.....i'm diggin the birch as far as looks and sawdust goes but i like the non-splintering of the MDF better...the birch box is much lighter tho.

On to the pics

lol...yup, thats the only issue i had on this one, everything else was perfect

is this for me? you know whats funny, i assumed you were making it out of mdf. but i was thinking about asking you to make it out of birch cause people told me it was just as strong but lighter.

i really think you are a ninja.....

i read your mind....the birch is a bit more costly but i'll eat the cost on this one (wasn't that much more) but YES...this one is yours!! And it does feel alot lighter

I don't understand why people who aren't painting or vinyling bother with filling the screwholes? When I fill, I always leave some excess filler there to blend out the fact that there's a depression. That ends up looking like shit if you don't paint it. Even if you do sand it all off, why bother?

im undecided if i am going to paint or just paint the front and make a beauty panel.

hes a ninja, all ninjas fill in holes.

eh just about everything in my system (and car for that matter) is black/silver. i think i might paint the front silver, then wrap a beauty panel in black vinyl or carpet. the sub is all black with carbon fiber.

there won't be a depression when i'm done. Flatboard sanding FTW
