my ho alt is good.....i run 2 z1's daily.... and i hardly dip below 12.5 and that is at full tilt.. at idle at 2000rpm i dont drop below 13.5.... im satisfied direct swap.

itll be find but just remember to let the batts charge every once in a while and dont let the votage drop to low.....or you could run a 2nd alt wher the compresor goes.....that is my plan...

Revision!! Mechman has one that does 150 idle, 250 running....for 500$$ I think its great, could I be sadly mistaken. I would love the Sundowns if I could power them, and I would pay for them

yeah secial brackets but dual alts in a honda......well worth it...

i have an 89 sothe ac is broken already.... and iplay my car at the beach often so a good electrical is very important and it seems like we have the same setup in mind....

i also orderd my mt's and the shouldbe here in jan... greg gotta build them...

Yeah, it will be pushing it with just 1 alternator, but get a couple good batts, at least 4 heavy ones and you will proably be okay, just try to keep from dipping below 10.5 with the amps going full tilt... if you are half volume and it's dipping into the 11's you are not gonna have enough alt or batt....

SAZ-3000D Refurbished is 1 year warranty and you can get two for $1250 shipped if you don't mind a few scratches, but if you are going to want better cooling for hard daily pounding you should look at the new heatsink models, however that will only run you $1280 for 2 B-stockers... You could get the A-stock (no major scuffs or scratches) with the newer heatsink for $1320 shipped.... Remember that is with a 1 year warranty and we are kinda like Sundown about the warranty here at dB-r, we just shut up and fix it to make you happy, no bickering unless you obviously did something wrong like get them soaked in a rainstorm or spill a bottle of captain morgan in them or something.....

I am extremely confident in our SAZ refurbs.... We have sold a pretty good amount of them this year, and only 2 or 3 have ever come back with any sort of problem. Outstanding really.

oh i feel that sundown arevery well built for abuse, i will never recomend something other than a sundown UNLESS its not what the person is looking for the, 1500d 100.4 already makes a great mid level power source, on the bigger side i prefer multiple 1500ds to a single 3000d, or a single dofferent amp like z1's t30001bds aq3500's its like i said just apersonal preference based on my tests. i love sundown justnot a big fan of the 3000ds unless its a situation like this where price/ warranty makes the deal well worth overcoeming my opinion on the amp

and 1 3000d willpush a btl just fine..... i had one to a 12 btl... it slammed in my frontier....142 at 37hz sealed at the dash all day long...

it gave theq alittle more than it could handle, and the bl seemed fine, fiand sundown makes a good combo. im onto my re phase, played with re line, and the sx line, both good now i wanna play with the big boy the mt, where it all started.... lol.... did 151.1 non walled, with sx's now im gonna wall and try again...

I completely agree with you on that. If he needed even more power, which I dont know, I think 2 x SAZ-3000D on 2 x 18" BTL is already on the edge for daily beating.... burping he could probably do 4 x SAZ-3000D's on those subs but I don't know if I would try it daily.... Instead of 2 x SAZ-3000D, 4 x SAZ-1500D would be more power yes, but getting a good deal on those is a little harder, as they are not on sale and completely sold-out in refurbished.... And they will probably stay that way, because they are super-popular amps, right along most peoples price range and a great amp too.

I question if the OP really understands what 1 SAZ 3000d will do. Keeping the one with higher voltage would be my choice, unless he was to go with 2 SAZ 1500's

the 3000d is a ***** of an amp.
