I am thinking about trading off my jl 10w7 and 500/1 amp, but not really sure what would be an upgrade from this. I just dont think it hits hard enough in my expedition. So do i keep and just build a big box for it or do i find something different?

What type of box are you running it in now?

That's a very large vehicle for a single 10 to really pressurize well. Id suggest looking into a larger driver if higher output is your goal.
