My idea 4 two subs

okay i have two 400 watt pioneer subs, there from like 10 years ago my dad bought the whole systeme for around 2200, but the mids and tweaters got stolen. I dont know what the wattage is in the amp but he said when he had it all hooked up they where hitting hard.

So for my idea i was thinking of doing the two subs in the trunk each in there own box. But have one ported and the other not to get both effects. Will some one help me design it or like get the correct specs. The Subs are 10" and i think like 4" deep. Or even better will you teach me the formulas and such to get everthing correct.

It will sound like as. You either need to run the 2 subs in the same enclosure, or 2 of the exact same boxes.

oh okay thanks i im new to this, so thanks, so for my situation would it be better to go ported or non? or sinse im new to this should i just go buy a pre fabed box?

If you want it to get loud, go ported. If you want it to sound better, go sealed.

I would go ported.

okay, so pretty much poreted makes it hit luder? and sealed is more clean sound? okay i think im going to get a buy a box first maby latter ill try my handy work on a custom job.
