My GTO build

Nice and clean and WTF did you get those amps at? That is uber cheap!
Also how in the world are you getting almost 26mpg on the highway? Hard to believe that one. I have an uncle with one and is more around 18 if he is lucky on the highway and 8-13 in the city. He don't have any mods on it either.
Does he ride around in 3rd gear on the highway?

My friend has a 99 LS1 camaro with modifications and can get 30mpg.

Nobody believes me until they see my average mpg screen, highest I have hit is 28.7average mpg on the highway. In 6th I pretty much idle at 1500 rpms going 70, also the car is tuned which adds about 2 mpg.

I got both amps from craigslist, the alpine m650 for 100 the guy didn't know how much it was worth lol

Check out this GTO build posted on the forums last week, holy crap! He added 400lbs to his trunk.

Thanks guys, I didnt deaden the car do you think I should? One guy with a GTO deadened his entire car and it reduced noise by 5db. Do you think its worth it?

Absolutely worth it. Not only does it help with making your system more efficient but it makes for a quieter ride if you're not listening to music. It was one of the best upgrades I've done to my car yet.

Depending on your budget you don't have to do everything in matt, you can use spray on some areas too. Here is my install thread, you can see where I used spray on a lot of areas.

Very nice install !! Is the other Alpine amp the mrpF 250 or the F450?That 250 will produce some clean sound.I ran the F450 and the 650 M pushing 2 12w3-3-4's in a vented box with 4 6.5" "type S' co-ax's and a set of the "S' 6.5 components[2006]model in my 03' Nissan Altima for almost 2 years.I've only had my PDX 1000.1 and 4 x 150 for around a year or so.Two JL w3-3-4's run parallel to see 2 ohms off that 650M is amazing!!Try 2 if you have the space.Alpine50...............

Thanks a lot, I really like how it came out. The smaller amp is the MRP F250 and it sounds great! I might try two but for right now I am very happy with the sound of this stereo. One question I do have...how far can I push the sub until I am doing damage to it? My head unit bass settings are 0-6 and at 3 it sounds great. Should I not push it any further? Thanks!
