so a buddy of mine comes up to me at school today and says "hey dude i got a system!" I thought oh cool i love to see people installs and hear new stuff. He also wouldnt stop bragging about how much louder it was than mine. So after school I went to his car and sat down. He play a few songs(late night tip, air force ones...ect.) He turns off the car and looks at me expecing something good..I looked and said "dude this is the biggest pile of shit system i have ever heard..take this out right now and burn it dumba**!" he says "well at least look at it before dissin it"

opens the trunk for me to see two of the cheapest audiobahns you can get in a prefab bandpass. I smiled and said My type E sounds like *** with carmen electra when you compare it to your shit sounding like doing old men.

...Reality behind the situation is...Audiobahn is probably the worst sounding brand you can possibly buy. so for anyone who has thought it might not be that bad. It is that bad for sure

Lawl you have a very blunt approach to your friends' systems, but I am guessing that he isn't a good friend. The other day a friend of mine from Washington was telling me his car is pretty cool and it has a system, blah blah blah. So I asked him what kind of subs and amp he is running and he said EXPLODES babby!!!!!!! Who gives a chit anyway. Subs are not a system, in fact probably the least important part. The installation & tuning of the front stage is what makes a system. Subs just play the lowest octave or two.

That happened to me, I rolled up to the lake and parked and then we found some friends and they were like dude we got systems today, I was like oh cool what do you have and he pops his trunk in his accord to reveal a xplod in a sealed box that literally sounded like garbage, I was like oh cool then continued my day.

You dont always have to say whats on your mind unless you really feel like being an *******.

Similar thing happened with my 18 year old cousin (who's a bit of a redneck but tries to act all cool rapper) when he came to visit a few months ago. I hadn't seen him in almost 3 years and he asked me if I was into car audio, so I replied that I was. He was happy to hear that, as apparently his friends know nothing about it so it would be nice to chat with someone who shares the interest.

So we get on the topic of subs and he starts bragging about how his two 10's are louder than all the sub systems of everyone he knows. I just kind of nod and say that I'm more into SQ and I think SPL is a waste of time and money, and I just don't understand why people choose to just hear the music they like really loudly instead of really listening to it. He nods and says that his system not only gets loud, but it's clear, so he can hear the front speakers just fine. At that point I say "Oh, so you're into SQL then. That's cool."

He blinks a few times and says "What does that mean?"

I pause for a bit and ask "What kind of subs and amp do you have?"

"Insignia" with a cool smirk and a slight head bob.

All I replied with was "Oh cool." and left it at that.

you must be an adult, I get tired of seeing threads where they spend 4000.00 on subs, amps, ect. but I am going to keep the stock fronts
