Chances are that they didn't tap the sub out on the factory stereo and just tapped the speaker outs which are high passed. Therefore, no lows to the sub and no lows from the sub. Get the shop to fix it and they shouldn't charge anything since they effed it up the first time.

While not disagreeing at all with his statement. I have my rears speakers sending the signal to a HI-LO box, HI-LO box feeding the signal to my 500/1 and I have nooooo problem at all hitting LOWS all with the stock H/U. I have the H/K optional sound system on the '00 BMW 328Ci . Aside from Taxi's statement I strong suggest going over you crossover settings on the amp.

they fixed it. the problem was in the tapping. they tapped into the speakers instead of the subwoofer.
