My First System

look around these forums a lot before you make any decisions.

I'm also on my first setup. I wish i didnt buy my power acoustik subs, if I came here first, I wouldve known better.

But I did come here before I bought my headunit. I probably wouldve gone with a shitty sony, but decided to save money and go with the pioneer 770mp.

i always recommend people with low funds to always get a nice hu, comp, amp

don't worry about bass... after you have your comp set a little while you will discover a way to get some bass (i promise)

but

I'd diss the box (shiity anyways) build your own

the wiring is ok... g/j

get a used HU from the classfieds... should be able to find one better for around the same price

get a nice comp set... they have decent comps selling in the classifieds right now for less than $100

get a decent comp amp... check profile... always good bang for your buck amps

also if you want cheap subs... stick with pioneer.. can't go wrong

fuk coaxils... trash the rear fill, or if you like keep what you got back there and power them off the HU internal

I wouldn't buy any of that stuff bro, you will be better off just buying yourself a nice headunit and some comps. But yeah look around the classifieds or ebay, 450 isnt much to work with but I'm sure you can find something. Just don't waste your money, I mean if you can't do it right don't bother doing it at all.

Hi and welcome to the forum. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Well first of all I realize your not working with alot of money so here we go. Your amp and wiring kit is ok. I would dump those subs and put that money on a better head unit. If you like pioneer which is good, you will be happier and have more options if you go with a pioneer premiere line. I would try to be a little more patient and I know that is hard , and save your money to get you a better quality sub a bit later. You head unit is the second most important part of the entire system. Better to put your money there and build up. Good luck to ya!

I see what you guys are saying and yes it is hard to wait. I have a question though. If I get a good head unit, will I need an amp right away? I don't think I will, but I am just making sure.

If you still have stock speakers then no, but most people on here will suggest that you put you money into your front stage set up. If you amp your stock speakers you will more than likely blow them, so you will need to get you some good front speakers at the least.

Ya dude get a good two or four channel amp and nice comps. Maybe a little deadening and you will be suprised by the amount of bass they can provide. Good enough anyways untill you can afford to buy a decent sub amp and sub. When buying a different head unit look at the pre amp voltage, the higher the better the signal. I do like pioneer cause their eq and other settings actually work.

Well I am convinced. I will wait and save. For now, I do want to get a head unit. I am also considering a compenent speaker set. Will a mono amp work or do I need a 2 channel? So in the end I will have 2 mono amps (comps and sub) or one 2 channel and one mono (comps and sub)?
