My First Ported Box

i looked on orion.com and i built the specs on a 12'' h2 which was tuned to 33hz it said with that paticular. so i designed and made my own ''first box''. but any way on the orion.com it said u would need a 4in.in diameter of a circular port. 24inches long. so i converted that into the port volume. and started guessing my numbers untill the port was the same volume as 4x 24=300 give or take i think 2in. and then 2x15x10=300 so thats how i designed mine though i still havent heard it yet so??? that would **** though if ur right cause i put like 8hrs into that lol.

well that isnt even close to being how a port works. The tuning frequency is derrived from the port area in sq in, the port length, and the enclosure volume. You may end up with the same displacement, however the extremely large increase in area and the decrease in length is going to make you end up around 66hz lol. Its going to sound plain awful to tell you the truth.

fuk dood im just praying ur wrong right now ill find out
Math isn't wrong. I have around the same results (60s). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you don't use clamps, good luck getting anything near perpendicular corners...
But from a good 3/4 of the box work I see on here, such things are not deemed to be really important //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

boxs looks really good other than the "handles"

x2. For some reason I don't think that those were intended. I say that because those "handles" are essentially useless if they aren't on both sides.
