My Family recieved some bad news...

well a couple months ago my aunt announced that at age 42 she was pregnant...she just had one daughter to graduate highschool and a son go into the 6th grade...well at her ago they told her there may be complications and possibly disorders. Well she went for preliminary testing on Wed. and today they called and said that it is a boy and is 100% sure that it has Down Syndrome. More tests were done to check something about the 18th chromosomes which may cause themto abort the pregnancy due to the fact that it would only live a couple hours......This news has hit the family hard.

I have heard of people being told that the baby will have down syndrome and they go ahead and have the baby and it turns out fine....

Yea i dnt kno how the tests works but they say there 100% sure....i guess the new tests that will be ready next Friday will tell more...its the test with the 18th chromosome.

thanks alot guys...our fam was just hoping for a healthy pregnancy....but its not looking like its going to happen...the Down syndrome isnt rly that bad its the fact it may have to be aborted.

Trisomy 18 is what they're testing for. It's a bad deal, hopefully that isn't the case.

BTW, Down's is Trisomy 21.

they used the pullout method supposedly...but i guess he bsuted a nut before he could get his obese self out. the aunt had eerything against her going into the prego tho...high BP, High cholesterhol, bad back, chronic migraines, and of course her age.
