Hey, I used to have a Kenwood 8101d (amp) driving my Alpine Type R 1241d... the amp seemed to be underpowering the sub a bit...
so I went ahead and did an upgrade to the Kenwood 9102d (service plan exchange //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif heh)... One question I have is the box says 1 ohm stable... and I was wondering if this is true, so that I could run two dual-4ohm voice coil subs off of it.
I am running my Apline at 2 ohms (dual 4ohm voice coils)... so the power difference between the two amps is 300w rms and 850w rms respectively...
with all that extra power I was thinking about doing a dual 12" setup... where I want a good blend between SQL and SPL, and I just need some good sub suggestions...
My Alpine doesnt hit as hard as other people's subs I know, but it is very tight. Like I said, I would like a good blend between the two.
Thanks,
Frank
