ehh turbos are more of a whistle, do to a lack of mechanical parts that cause the whine...

because he posted a pic of the engine of that 350z which clearly has a TURBO in it, not a Supercharger.

as already said, the superchargers on these newer cars just about have to mount with the housing forward of the pulley for clearance issues. superchargers whine b/c of internal gears etc., and how they are machined, some blowers have internal cogs that are machined to be noisy.

That is a nice car......my cousin has a 350z with a lot of work but no forced induction yet just a little nitrous kit.

Superchargers are definitely more notorious for having a loud whine...

But now most people install Turbos cause they are more efficient and cheaper so the only thing most people kno these days is Turbos and Turbo whine..

its a centrifugal SUPERCHARGER, not a roots style which mounts on the top of the engine...

geez. Such a big arguement of something so small. Supercharged, Turbocharged.. Whatever. Its probably faster than what you drive. Not the cleanest system install but if it makes him happy then w/e. Call him and tell em ya don't like it.
