Looks like a vortech supercharger to me. Especially since it is installed on the belt assembly. We would need a better picture to confirm which it is.

You can clearly see the belt going to the supercharger.......nice ride nonetheless.

Some superchargers have an intake housing that looks like a turbo. It is clearly belt driven which is what makes it a supercharger

It's called a centrifugal supercharger. It gives a very distinct whine as the motor revs up(as the OP mentioned). I really dont see why people are hating on the OP when he gave factual information about the car.

Anyways, thats a nice 350z. Not a big fan of the sub enclosure tho.

From the 350's I've seen, that looks supercharged. But the whineing sound you usually get with a turbocharger more or less. Don't know. But my money would be on the supercharger.
