If your cousin is facing criminal charges then your cousin's wife should file charges against the guy who was beat up. She was a clear victim of ****** harassment and battery. The fact that the wife talked to the guy about the incident and he continued the harassment in order to agitate your cousin just makes the guy’s conduct both knowing and egregious.

id have to say he is an idiot because if it was as bad as you say he is gonna have felonious assault charges which can likely put you in prison where they dont let you out early for a charge like that and good luck getting a job when its all said and done

well he is going to get out in a little bit, they have already processed everything and hes posted already, which is excellent...

my cousin said that when he went to pick her up, he walked into the office, found his wife, started walking to her and he and a witness ho was right next to him both heard this guy say to someone "oh here is this guy, check this out" (or something similar) and he walked up to her at the filing cabinet wall and was talking to her about something arbitrary and then grabbed a cannister full of blue prints and smacked her on the *** and then looked at my cousin and wink while laughing....

apparently 2 woman came forward today directly afterwards and filed harassment charges and my cousins wife had in fact filed a complaint on Tuesday of this week but it has yet to be addressed...

as far as security footage, hmm i bet the office does have cameras, that would be nice to watch over and over...

word is, the filing cabinet is probably not going to make it...

Yes he had it coming, but that was serious bonehead move by your cousin. The ****** harassment charges are going to be investigated, but they'll be totally separate from the felony assault charges against your cousin.

He'll be lucky to get away with no jail time, although that may depend on the 'history' of trouble you alluded to. Either way, he's gonna be liable in a civil suit and could seriously lose his ***.

A simple assault charge can and will follow you for life, and can affect all kinds of things. Security clearances, background checks for employment, firearm purchases, all dang kinds of stuff.

A good lawyer will help. If he isn't strapped for cash then tell him to go to a firm like Holland & Knight or Greenburg Trauig rather than the firms you see on TV. You get what you pay for.
