Does that mean your local shop makes as good of a box? Does it come with a 5 year warranty?

Hear a TCAB box and you'll see the difference... there is a vid on the site that details the BIG difference it makes going from one of the boxes designed on here to a TCAB box, and changing nothing else.

Your shop builds for 150, but I'm willing to bet the box won't be as good, or last as long.

I use quality particle board. I've done the testing, its lighter and stiffer than MDF. Its more porous, yes, but its also treated to prevent water damage. Remember, 5 year warranty here...

The shops in the area will laugh at you if you want a custom carpeted box built for $230... lets not even consider $230 SHIPPED. Lets also remember most shops don't have a grasp on proper ported box design, and will just tell you to buy the biggest and most expensive thing. You get a TCAB box, you also buy the reccomendation of PROPER products, and you know your getting the BEST box for your application.

if you can get a hold of this sort of p-board i'd suggest trying it... its not everywhere.

It was a ac 190 and hit 152.6 on the tl. I have been to over 20 competitons from db drags to clash of the titans to other local stereo shops here in eastern ohio. I had 4 of the 9500's mtx 12"s and 2 modded 1501 class d amps pushing the subs along with 2 other 342 mtx's pushing the highs. I also had all mb quart highs. My buddy from stereo connection in austintown ohio made the box and was built from 3/4 mdf. It was built inside the trunk and we made a custom rear deck for the port. Was loud and very clean. I wish I still had that beast. But I put some 20" rims on it and with in a month later it was stolen. I lost my *** out on that car. Hence why I cant afford good shit.

Hey I will make you an offer. How about you build me one of your boxes for my car to prove your point. If it rocks like you say I will give you what you ask for it(resonable cost) if I think it could sound better I will ship it back to ya. Just an idea plus I am broke as a joke for 2 weeks. lol! Also I am not trying to dog your boxes bro I just am surprised at price is all. But if they are the shit like you say they are then that is another story. I just never heard anyone say that partical board is better than mdf 3/4 for building boxes. Peace!
