Yes, my parents pay for my college tuition, books, rent, & food. But I pay for my vehicle, gas, phone, insurance, & anything else I want.
I turned 16 in '04 & my parents bought me a '00 Camaro Z28 LS1 6-speed. I drove it until Nov. '09, when I sold it & bought my fiance a '00 Grand Cherokee. Then I purchased a '10 Camaro RS/SS LS3 6-speed.
My grandfather learned through a close friend in '05, who owns a dealership, that the Camaro would be returning in 3-5 yrs. Being that I was homeschooled, & took my classes @ the comm. college, I began working & saving my money...I saved almost everything I made for over 4 years, minus my gas, insurance, & phone bill. I also took my 1st 2 yrs of college @ the comm. college. The 2 yrs I was in high school I worked 20-25 hrs a week & saved around $10k. The next 2 yrs, while obtaining my associates degree, I worked 45+ hrs & managed to save over $25k. I didn't have hardly any credit @ 20, but GM had no problem financing the Camaro to me when I offered a down payment of $30k cash. This still left me w/ over $5k, & once I transferred to UNC Charlotte I got a part-time job working 15-20 hrs a week. My payments are $429/month, & I've paid off $5k in the year I've owned it....I only owed a little over $11k of the original sticker of $46k.
Me & my fiance both attend UNCC & use her Jeep for traveling, the SS stayed garaged @ my parents most of the time. I hadn't driven it since Fall break when we came home for Thanksgiving, so I decided to drive it to school for the last month of the semester. We are going home next weekend after finals for x-mas break & it would have been put back in storage, but unfortunately it is now destroyed.
anyways.............
Don't tell me I can't afford that car. Now please kindly STFU & GTFO of my thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
