Just installed the amp and did a couple test tones only bass since I dont have my 4 channel and its LOUD!
Couple questions though. As I was wiring everything up I was not paying close enough attention and accidently put the ground wire into the 12v input on the amp and it made a huge spark and a little smoke came out. After that the amp still worked fine though. But good that have cause any damage internally? Like at all? What could it have done.
Also do I need to fuse the positive wire coming off the battery into the amp. I was pretty sure I didnt have to since its only like a 1 foot distance. Anyways here the pics
Very nice clean install. Im really looking foward to the difference with the additional power to the Icons. The old setup was pretty loud, I can only imagine how it will be now, lol!!
very clean install i like it if the power on that is rated at 2693 then each subs is actually gonna get 1346.5 watts lol **** thats alot of power hope it goes good.. Video Maybe?
In reguards to you putting your ground into your 12v, you should be fine. I did that once as well, but mine blew the fuses, thank god, lol! Still worked like a charm.
It wasnt originally like that it was sub back port back. But i have lots of stuff in my trunk and didnt want to ruin the subs. So since the subs are up i have no worries about stuff hitting them example skateboards andshit
Ok after running into a couple problems throughout the install I finally got everything up and running! It is LOUD! lol Being my first real audio setup I am very pleased with the products I have purchased. Just waiting on my PG RSD'S to come in install them and everything will just about be done! heres pics and a couple of videos.
