omg... you guys don't know what he is trying to say... Well to give you background info... He means that the family owns or at one point owned a Coca-Cola bottling plant. See in the 70's and before, Coca-Cola would outsource the bottling and manufacturing aspect of their product. Essentially they would come to agreement with local bottlers and distributors by making them solely service Coke products and collect a portion of their revenues (similar to McDonald's model).
During the 70's and thereafter Coke restructered their Corporate model and centralized the process. They went around to the 100's of local bottlers and distributors and bought out their business with part cash/equity deals. Essentially these people went from rich to filthy rich overnight. Even if their family did not sell out to coke then they made a pretty penny at what they did over the years.
