what do you all think.. I live in Duluth mn and now am currently laid off , indefinately... Me and my Gf of 4 yrs broke up 2 months ago and I really wanna leave , .. But i was thinking more along the lines of the Twin cities area...

My buddy needs to renew his lease for one more year, by april first.. The only thing that was keeping me here any ways was i was waiting for my GF ( now ex) to finish school then we were off to san diego.. It would only be for a year , then I could move back here or do what ever.. Ive never lived anywhere else really, besides New York, .. So it might be a good oppritunity to try something new,

He said he can get me a job hanging gutters and doing other carpentry work, for around $2-2500 / month.. So the money is good but Its a thing i would have to do like pretty quick.. Pack my stuff and be down there around the last week of march

And I know nothing about San Antonio.. Im sure its a big culture shock Being like 1.5 million people compared to lil ol duluth at 90,000.. Im 27 , but still like to hit up the bars, and go out once and a while, so any one with some info about San Antonio throw it out there , I want more opinions than just my buddies , cuz he just wants me to go out there

I dont understand why people come on here to ask others what they should do with their lives //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

it was more of a question of would you do it with a situation like mine, and what its like down there.. Maybe someone has been in the same situation.... It is a forum , in the lounge.. So whats the big deal.. Thanks for the helpful post too:)

go now. i'm sure Duluth is pretty much like living in the UP, so i would leave. plus all the big business is moving out of the midwest and going down south.
yea pretty much like the up .. Pretty fun in the summmer actually , with all the beaches and lakewalk and basically all downtown, tons of hot tourists.. So its not like i dont like it , i was just wondering if anyone on the board is from san antonio or the surrounding areas, just for a lil info on what its like down there..

Just gotta assume rent is going to be more than you are paying now, Unless its in a crappier area. My sister just moved from Grand Forks ND to Houston a few weeks back, seems to like the weather now, but I can only imagine how hot it gets in the summer. I'd move down to the TC area, plenty of places to work and get paid better than that.

definately gonna be hotter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

the economy is deteriorating in the midwest. i wouldn't hesitate to move to san antonio if i had a good job lined up. of course you'll most likely have to deal with a lot of illegals.

Well I've never lived anywhere else, but I like MN, so I'd say stay here.
