My biggest problem: the paper

I'm a noob who is really just getting into this. But dam! The prices have me floored. How do you guys stack up the paper to do it? This is where I need the most help. Any leagal methods you can suggest to afford such high-quality equipment?

12V audio, for the most part, is pretty cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Start looking into home stuff and I guarantee you'll feel better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

no kidding. i've resigned myself to the reality that, i won't ever have decent home audio, unless i build it myself. even then, i've been working on a piece here and there for over a year, and it still isn't done.

gotta pay to playor buy cheap shit and be pissed off
x2, the game is deeper/ than just working off the beeper/ - Pimp C

You gotta work man, if you want quality you got to pay for it. Alot of times when I tell people I spent 250 on each sub, and 350 on an amp. they think Im crazy. But when my ish is blasting still after they then been through 6 or 7 subs. Who made the better choice?

Exactly what I had to do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif The commercial equivalent of my amps would have been somewhere around $4000, the speakers around $2000...go DIY instead, end up with a little over $3000 in the whole thing, without a turntable...

It's hard to DIY a processor/receiver for HT. However, this is about the cheapest part.

i've spent the last year, fleetingly, studying crossover structure. it's tied my brain in a knot a few times.
