How would you guys compare the HD3's to the XXX's? If I were to guess I'd think the XXX's had more sq and the HD3's had a slight advantage in spl. Like I mentioned earlier I want one but I dont wanna take a HUGE hit in sq loss. spl? loki? can one of you guys compare the hd3 to the xxx for me?

Sure the HD destroys the XXX in sq and spl, the Hd3 is on par with a DD 9500 at a fraction of the cost, they get loud with minimal watts and space, XXX is rated at 1600rms hD3 is 1000rms hd3 is more efficent, and cost less as well. If you go with the Hd3 and follow the box specs I assure you wont be sorry, or I would buy your woofer (HD3 from you) depending the size. Dru you can pm me or whateva if need be for a box design

Yes it will love you for it, but you dont need that much power. They will handle 3000rms daily if done right (clean power, no clipping, proper build box to specs)

Just asking because of my current amp. Should do around 1800. Just making sure that would be safe for the 18. Maybe the 15 if I get tired of waiting, lol.

Oh yea the 15 will **** it up no problem, hell there are people running a single DD Z1 on them, along with people running an orion 2500 on 10s...like I said just make sure its a clean signal and power...

Od as in outer diameter? If you want specs like that your better off emailing DJ he can tell you exact.

anyway, loki, is the 18 really gonna be that much better than the 15 that i should wait on it? or should i just go ahead and get the 15? im really fond of 18's but if the 15 will seriously be that good then i could just go ahead on...

Lower, ime, is more of a function of tuning.

I bet it will be louder and be more boomier, so to speak.

I ntoiced they all have the same maganet and voice coil.
