My AudioQue hd3 pron...

Well the hd3 series woofer has a bigger mag then the 9500 dd, but cost alot less, both are amazing woofers its more budget safe to get the audioque they get insane loud and can handle tons of power, I think on the 10 and 2k you might want to talk with DJ he can help you the best, as far as box and so fourth, dd and audioque are owned by the same familiar incase you couldnt see the similarities. Get nasty loud with just 600rms, but up the power and up the output same as DD woofers....The Hd3 series will kill an SX in any aspect you can think of, as far as box specs the 10s best is 1.5 cubes, 12 2.5 cubes and 15 4.5 cubes, give or take a little but depending on your needs such as SPL SQ or SQL
Ok I see 2.5 cubes is that sealed? I need to do a little more research into these HD3s to see if I really want these. Can an enclosure down to say 30 hz be fine with this sub? I know I need to learn more but I know I dont want my SX any more.

BTW if anyone is interested I'm selling it.

No thats 2.5 cubes ported Dj (owner of audioque) says they do real well at 40hz and up, but they will still do sick things at low tuning with these subs being so efficent you really dont need to go 30hz, I would say from experience 30hz was to low, I had the old HD 15 and had it tuned at 34hz in a 3cube box and 38hz in a 4.5 cube box with 2000rms and it was just stupid loud in a 2004 crown vic, made my windshield wipers dance.

I have no experience with any TC subs, but I do with audioque and DD along with many other subs such as re, atomic, kicker etc....this sub can work in small ported enclosures with little power, but if you planned on doing somthing like that then you would be better off with the hd2.5 series, basically it really depends on what kind of power your looking at along with usable space.

What series HD are you talking the 2, 2.5, or 3? If your going with the HD312 then I would say 36-40hz depending your application if you want to destroy lows and still get loud then I would say 36hz in 2.5-3cubes with 1000-1500rms, if your looking more for SQL then 3cubes at 40hz with 1000-1200rms and you will be surely amazed at the output. If your going with the 2.5 you can get away with 2cubes tuned at 34hz, but your not going to get great SQ, but thats expected.

You can call DJ to get exact specs, but I believe Jeremiah running a pair of hd 315s and 2 dd z1s is doing a solid 158 in an explorer, like 154 or 156 on drive by...which isnt an easy task to do on the NEW TL, the best way to find out is try it yourself and see where you sit, check the rules and classes for each event such as isaci, usaci, db drag, meca...

HD3 since thats what I see on their website. All I know is that I need an enclosure smaller than what I have now b/c I literally don't have a trunk anymore. I'm also trying to stick to my Hifonics BX1205d amp btw. THanks for the help again bro.

btw do you play CS I always play with a guy named Loki on my usual servers.

dru if you want and have aim then we can chit chat on there which would be alot easier, pm me or tell me your means of contact so I can better help you, but to answer your last post, I dont know your current box size, but if your going to run the HD312 then you can do 3 cubes tuned at 36hz with the 1000-1200rms from your amp and be fully in awww when you see what this baby does....

do you have any electrical upgrades? id like to know them since, i also have a 2k+ dodge neon.
200 amp iraggi alt, extra kinetik 2400 in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

trust me if you build the recommended enclosure specified on the website ported to 40hz it acts like it tuned to 30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm interested in the 12 HD, so what tuning do you recommend?
Thanks for all this info btw.
daily-40hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif itll act like its tuned to 30hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do the HD3s tend to do well on the meter? I was looking at the 10s. I can fit 12s but it is a tight fit. Having a short trunk sucks.
YES im still trying to figure out my trunk and fine tuning but just thrown in tuned to 44hz burping at 49hz hitting 148.35db legal on TL;) with 1 orion 2500d @.35nominal:D
