My Audiopipe amp is not bad at all for the price

Pro rabbit lives in OKC I believe. I just PM'ed him to see if he can clamp it; I believe he has an O-scope and all
Had to quote this one as well

I met up with Dustin (pro rabbit) when I got my box from him and I had an audiopipe amp. Let's just say there was nothing positive ever said about that amp.

You picked the wrong person to clamp it.

Didn't read the thread except for posts I was quoted in..but
There is no way in hell two AQ2200Ds put out less power strapped than an AP3k. Absolutely no way in hell that is happening lol
You read it wrong. The AP did 2700 and the AQ's did 3500.

Yeah he didn't answer my PM when I asked him to do it.

Whoops, meant theres no way those two AQs only did 3500 watts strapped unless there was user error or a **** poor electrical.

There's a reason why he didn't answer your PM

He knows those amps are garbage lol, it would be a waste of time.

It was **** poor electrical, hence why neither of them did rated.

How did you like your AP amp?

It was good for the price I paid for it, which was $113 for the apsm1500

However, i don't have any quality amps to compare it to so I can't give a comparison to anything.

But now I'm moving to higher power systems so I want a quality amp instead

Price aside, were you impressed with the output of it? Did it sound good to you?

So you were pleased with it, but yet you call it garbage. Ok. Let me guess, because that's the popular opinion around here, and instead of being honest with yourself you agree with the popular opinion to avoid ridicule.

Why are Lexus's being discussed on an AudioPipe thread? If you can buy a Lexus, then why the **** would you buy anything AudioPipe.
Actuall I have 2 BMW's, one for me and one for my wife.

And why? Because it does the job and is cheap.

The same reason I buy store brand mouthwash over listerine. Or hane's socks over nike. The do the same rob, roughly, for half the price.

Like I said, I will splurge on vehicles, my home, clothing, but as far as my needs go, the amp does what I need it to do. Actually I would have been happy with the 1500. At 4 ohms this sub is WAY too loud, completely overpowers my front stage at 1/4 gain and if I crank it up my ears hurt and everyone adjacent to me in traffic looks at me as though they caught me molesting a child

While I entirely agree and do myself buy Hanes>Nike and Store Brands>Mainstream, however you're comparing apples to oranges. Socks are socks. Soda is soda. Mouthwash is mouthwash. Electronics however had very different components making them the price they are. JL supposedly (I say that because I don't have resources to back that as I'm at work on break) uses higher quality parts do therefore they charge top dollar. I also agree with you that they do intact add on an extra 15% or so just because it's "JL Audio". AudioPipe is "budget amp" and therefore uses lower quality parts and can charge less. I'm willing to pay for quality in situations like electrical/automotive/home improvement/food but any other time I choose the store brand equivalent. I see things as an investment. You'll more than likely have to replace the AudioPipe a few times before you have to replace the JL. For some people that's acceptable while others, like myself, can't stand that.

No problem, that's your opinion and I respect that. But honestly, of the 100 reviews I read online for the AP series amps, forums included, there were a couple doa's mentioned, but not many negatives as far as longevity, so I don't think they are as bad as people say. And if it does blow, I'll upgrade then. That's just how I am, I don't listen to people's opinions much, I do research and make my own, and when i learn it's usually the hard way lol, but at least I know for sure.
