My 1st ever meter today

rloring, where is this at? What shop? I am in Portland.
its on 82nd ave across from the clackamas town center take I205 south exit off at sunnyside go right go down to 82nd hook a right then the shops on the left bout 1 block.

Thnx for the nice props guys, it makes this hobby a fun one, I have yet to upgrade any charging system on my rig, or even get a 2nd battery,if I do that mabey I could squeez out a lil highr score, I plan on upgradeing subs or mabey even just build a ported box for these 3 then upgrade after I blow these ones to hell.. Any one have any ideas on how I can improve with what i got?

dude,...they're cvr's though... most people couldnt hit over 140 with 3 OK rated subs sealed IN AN EXPEDITION
I dont get it...if the mic was calibrated, how could it have been more than 1-2 DB off... was technology that much worse a few years ago, no
they are anywhere from 5-10db off from the TL, depending on their calibration. Never within' 1-2 DB, unless they were calibrated using the TL as a base point. Even then it can be off depending on temp. and humidity.

Still a good score for 3 sealed CVR's.

I say build a nice ported box around 35 Hz. My Expy peaked at 44Hz, but that was the older body style as well (97-03). A battery will help, but with 1500 watts, you dont really HAVE to have another.

thnx Ed , nice to be corrected by someone who actualy knows there shit and doesnt flame, again thnx
No problem.

And at that SPL I bet it sounds good too.

The biggest reason I want people to be aware of the meter and the differences in meters is because I have seen how people react at shows.

I have seen people come to there first show with a TermLab, hit a number that was lower then what they tested at there buddy's shop, and then get seriously pissed or upset. They blame that the meter is broken or they think that they blew something. When all along it was just a different meter.
