ok so i have an 2001 ford mustang and a rather small trunk, i plan on running one hdc3 15" of the amp in my sig. the dimensions i figured up are 26" wide x 26"deep x 12 high with the sub firing straight up. i plan on doing 4 4" ports or 2 6" ports. which would be best. also, i was wondering what this sub should be tuned to and what length would that mean the ports need to be. thanks

psp.inc.com has a port calculator that will tell you the exact port length for a given tuning freq. I would do 4 4"ers tuned to 38hz for daily, but thats just me

37-38hz works really well with the hdc's....hey where at in NC are you located?

Go 13.5" tall, so the box can't be removed without first taking out the rear seat, frame and all. It'll help prevent a theft, and give you just a tad more space. You can cut the rear deck out on either side where the "triangles" are (look from underneath and you'll see) without sacrificing structural integrity. DO NOT hack any of the reinforced box channels in there- they're structural.

the only reason it is only 12" tall is so i can fit it through there other wise i wnt be able to get it in the trunk

i did a build for a 12in L7 in a car just like yours the box was 3cubes at 35hz....and the height was 13.25"....we had to take apart, pretty much the whole back seats, but we were able to get in.
