you need 2 headunits.

just run the remote wire from the HU, to amp 1, and then run a wire from amp 1's remote jack to the remote jack of amp 2.

unless you have really picky amps, or more than 2 or 3.. should be fine.

what I did was ran a remote wire to my component amp, then about 24" before the end of that wire I cut into it and spliced in a second wire that ran to my sub amp. both amps turn on flawlessly.

your best bet is to get a SPST Relay from radioshack for like $5 and hook both amps up from there...

yep, both are correct. ive done it both ways, and both work fine.

now if your amps dont turn on one day (cuz u set both amps remotes to the one h/u one) you'll have to buy a new headunit....so way i see it 5-6 for relay is far cheaper than 100+ for a new headunit cuz you wanted to take the easy way out and fried the remote turn on in the headunit.

i could be wrong but ive never heard of anyone having an issue powering up 2 amps with one HU. in my 8 yrs of having multiple amps ive never had an issue and u are the first one ive ever heard say to do otherwise.

You're usually OK with 2 amps, but I always run a relay if I'm switching more than one device.
