Battery to amp ???

if the + wire from the battery in the back to the amp is less than 2-3 feet would i need to fuse the wire?

No..... I run massive power and have two kinetik 2400's and i have only the fuse running from the front power wire.... none from the power cells to the amp

if the positive comes out of the amp, does it have a chance to ground to anything? If the answer is yes, the you ought to fuse it. I'd choose a fuse holder and fuse over my daily car anytime.
