multiple low power subs or....

anybody done a wall or suv or whatever with 6 or more lower power decent subs?I know with todays awesome subs,1 or 2 can and usually will be louder than 4 or more cheapies.But I was kinda wantin to get some kicker comp series subs and do a big(looking)build.pretty sure the spl wouldnt be great but im thinkin 4 c15's on my rockford 1000,or 8- c12's all the 12s would be 8ohm to get a 1ohm load.either setup will be ported and tuned at 38hz.just sounds like a fun project.I had 4 c15s back in 1992 and they semed loud but each had 4.5cubes and 1 _4 inch port about 7 inches long.this build will have 50sq in of port per 15.and 25 for each 12.So i been searchin the net for deals on kickers.Oh my current set up is a p1000 runnin 2 p3 12s tuned at 38hz.and i must say they hold their own better than all the reviews ive read about them.spl wise im doin about 140 with music in my reg cab s-10.the subs are in a blowthru.if i do the big build, i may just cut the whole back of the cab out and wall it.the trucks a95 w/180k miles and i only drive it to work so hacking it up for stereo fun isnt a big deal.can anybody post pics or links to setups with 8 12s.the c12s ive had in the past are 150rms and performed well with that wattage,so my amp does 1215@1ohm so divide that to 8 subs and each will get about 151.8 watts each.perfect.

well you would want 15-20 inches of port area for every square foot of enclosure space, dont stick to 50 per 15 or 25 per 12. Port area is enclosure dependent not woofer size dependent. I would go with 4 15" for 300rms per woofer.

I have heard 6 12" kicker comps off roughly 2400 watts total and I was very impressed for bottom line kicker subs. They were walled off in a Colorado. I think he was somewhere around 145-146 on the TL.
