MTX Thunder6500d w/ no sound

My MTX Thunder 6500d stopped working a few years ago, and today I decided to pull it outta the closet and open it up.. here is what I found:

I found burn marks around the black thing in the bottom right corner.. anybody know what that is, and if I can buy a new one and solder it in?

You can do that, but its best to replace them all.
