I have a pair of JBL subs rated at 250 watts rms each. I am considering switching to a single sub, it will probably be in the same power range. I think my amp went out today, so I may need a new one. I am just curious, what are some good amps that will push 500 watts rms and provide great SQ? Price is everything, I am not sure what a decent amp this size runs so not sure what the budget might be. Thanks.

Subs I got are 4 ohm DVC, and if I could find a buyer they would be gone for something else. They are great subs, just not what I was looking for. Any other good amps?? I have been using a fosgate 360a2. What do the classes of amps mean?? Thanks.

MA Audio 1889i's put out about 450rms at 4ohm, and a solid 650rms at 2ohm. Just thought I'd throw that out, I had a few and benched them. Can't complain for a

I will be running a 4 ohm load to the amp, and the alpine listed above will not work well with that (reduces to 300 watts). I need a good amp that will do 500 watts rms @4 ohms. Any ideas for under $200? Thanks.
