Do MTX 8000(T8124 400w/1000w SVC 4-Ohms) subs good??

SPL is more important for me~

Want some hard bass in around $120 per sub

I'm gonna use a PPI PCX-1500 to power 2x 12" and a 1.5Fra cap

500w RMS X 1@4-Ohms

1000w RMS X 1@2-Ohms

The MTX 8000 are a joke.... The bass is sloppy and there is no SQ.......just in my opinion tho. I wished MTX still made the Blue Thunder, they are in the top 8 of my favorite subs, gotta luv them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The MTX really will make me disappointed??...What kind of box is prefered?

How about the Rockford Punch HX2 12"(2212/500w/1000w)

This sub also in the price range as MTX8000.......

They are both loud. The RFL's sound like *** lol. Built to compete.

Hm......heard about the 9500 but haven't personally heard one or seen one yet. How are they SPL wise? Any notable SQ? What are the specs?

Well, its time for them to be 'good this time'. Blue Thunder = good, Thunder 4/6/8000 = alright, 9500 series = ....
