There are many factors that determine the actual output of an amp.
my orion 2500d (2500 @ 1 ohm) put out a clamped 1600 ~. Do not follow

Clamping an amp while having it attached to a sub is not at all an accurate way to see what an amp can put out. The way amps are rated by the factory is much more accurate than what you're doing. I guess I could say that clamping an amp is useless to the uneducated user.
