MT's for daily?

the mt is more effecient than an sx...you give both the same amount of power, the mt will be louder...

mt is my favorite sub to date..ran them daily in everything from a wall and around 5k to a trunk set-up with little power..never had a problem with any of the mt's we've built, but i had a dust-cap shoot off and hit me on my way home with one re built.

i know this is gonna bring up a whole new topic, but how about sx's vs l7's and mt's vs solo x's, with the same power? i heard KickinAudio's 2 12" solo x's when he had 2 orion 2500d's on them, and it was really loud, thats kinda what im goin for...

sorry to say but going from 2500 to 5000 watts...you will notice a difference...doubling your power, at least a 1 dB gain.

will i "hear" it or just notice on the meter?

interesting question, my friend just called and asked which would be louder between 2 15" SX or 2 15" L7's and I didnt kno, I said they would be pretty close, what u guys think?

I would even think u would get more than 1dB and be able to hear the difference, but thats just me, im speculating.

Hey man, I was just wondering what you would recommend for the spider config if you're running MT's daily? When I ordered mine the gentleman on the other end of the phone told me that by default they just put a triple stiff spider on the MT. I know that I will probably be called all kind of names for this question, but inevitably there will always be folks that jump into things without knowing full well what they are getting into, so I'm just trying to help myself and maybe a few others.

3 stiff is good for a daily setup. Asking RE directly would get the correct answer

I can't believe I'm the first person to say this but if you're debating between the sx and the mt why not give the mx a shot?

Indeed. Triple stiff is the happy medium.

Well, when I asked RE, that's what they recommended.

I went with Quad Stiff... wanted the loudest...

In terms of stiff and soft spiders, how do they influence what the sub can handle? Does the spider config determine power handling ability?
