i only rip my cds into mp3 format at 256k and every once in a while i will hear a crack in the music in my sennheiser headphones (i guess my head phones have better Sq than my car :p) and anyways i was wondering couldn't that crack in the music possible blow a subwoofer ? i dunno im kinda leary about mp3's now....

though i was thinking those cracks might possible be a scratch on the cd i dunno any one have any imput it would be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the crack is probably too high of a frequency to even be played on your sub(s). its the ripper you are using or that you are taking up too much memory when ripping by doing tons of other stuff.

itll be fine...

i use mp3s in my car all the time, and never have a problem with scratches or anything threatening to my speakers
I only have like 2 regular CDs in my car. Evereything else, ive ripped to my HD then transfered to MP3 so I can keep like artists togeather instead of shuffling everything...
