mp3 player questions

so im looking at getting an mp3 player for my car so im not always killing my phone battery. I have a kenwood ddx470 hu. I was looking at getting a zune as i had one before and liked it. My question is though that people say it does not come with an eq as opposed to some others that do. would this only matter if i was listening via headphones, or does it matter when connected to my hu too? because ive also seen people to download viper4android or something if they are using android.

connect your phone via USB so it charges while you use your mp3 player. I assume you use aux cable? so have a cigarret lighter plug that is USB to charge while you input sound via aux cable.
