mounting to back of box

You should have used 3/4 inch MDF, .75 inch will not hold two type r's

As to OP: It is better to mount it other places... but, it's fine to mount it on the box. Just a note, cheaper amps, you should use some sort of lok-tite for the heatsink. The heatsink on my really cheap Boss amp has rattled off.

Holy SHIT man did you drop out of elementary school and skip Jr. high and High School? 3/4=.75 just as 1=100 and 1/2=.5 1/4=.25 so on and so forth get it?
