mounting depth in 7th and 8th gen accords?

So im looking into buying a car, and its probably going to be an accord, but I'm trying to determine before hand how much speaker mounting depth is in the doors on these cars. My current car only has about 2.5" (with mounting rings) and i dont really want to struggle looking for midwoofers that will fit in the doors again, nor do i want to modify the door card. I thought i had heard that accords usually have very little depth, but does that include mounting rings? I want to put 6.5 sls in the doors and they need about 3.5"

I have an 07 Accord with Hertz MLK165's in the door and they are right at 3.5" deep.

did you have much room left?

also, im assuming its the same in coupes and sedans?

Fit in with no problems. I would recommend removing the plastic ring from the backside of the door panel. I do believe the coupes and sedans are the same.
