I am looking at two places to buy wire (possibly a third as soon as I figure out the costs). Anyway, one has what I feel is better speaker wire, and the other which I feel is better RCA interconnects. This is mainly through material use. Both total wiring (with power/fuse blocks/fuses/etc.) total around the same amount of money.

So, which do you think is more important, speaker wire or RCA interconnects?

would have to say the interconnects...much more to go wrong there. Speaker wire is speaker wire, as long as the gauges are equivalent there's no difference in wire (unless it's shielded vs. nonshielded)...RCA interconnects can have plenty of things go wrong.

I'm going to have to go with Jack Frost. Speaker wires are just AC electricity, RCAs are a delicate signal, vulnerable to the elements. Any wire will do to go from your amp to your speakers. I've seen 12 guage cable used before.

Well, I know one is silver plated and the other is tin plated. And one has a black cover while the other is blue and silver if we want to get silly about it. They are even a large way below their retail price already, and still twice above some of the other wire sizes, making me wonder.
