Most Efficient 2000w Amplifiers on the Market?

Efficiency of 85% according to the manual on the site. Whereabout might I find a good pricing on these Exile's?
Keep in mind what was said earlier about efficiency; It decreases as impedance decreases. It might be 85% at 4ohm, or it might have a "maximum" efficiency of 85%.....but what is the efficiency at the impedance you plan to operate the amplifier ?? It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that 85% figure to drop to 70% or lower down at 1ohm.

For example the Zed Minilith is 83% efficient at 4ohm, but only 60% efficient at 1ohm.

EDIT: Just looked at the manual, and notice the complete lack of information regarding that 85% figure. Chances are pretty good that was a 4ohm figure; Not much use to you.

most amps that i deal with their effency rattings seem to be better at the the lowest imp they are rated to run

i have looked at DD M3,Z1a/crunch gp3000a they both have better eff.. @ lowest imp , they are running around the 83-88% range @ 1ohm

Roger that, that's why I've e-mailed all of the companies with info. on efficiency at 1 ohm and not 4 ohms. I've gotten two answers back so far out of about 6 companies.

How are these working for u?
the M3 as been running @1 0hm with a sp1000/batcap 800 with a factory alt

(80a) and i can jam it for about 5min strait of demo and voltage never drops down below 13.2v!!

i read a amp review in car audio mag today about the new GP3000and they rated it at 3300w @14v 85% eff @1ohm

the Z1a , if 1 battery can power 4 Z1a and get 9000w it has got to be effecient //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

and most are doing 2 with 7000 watts (street max, street class)

Have you considered just throwing some $$$ at your electrical to support your current amp? I didn't see any mention of what you have alt/batt wise...

Yeah, that's what I would love to do, but no dice. No one has started making HO Alts for my car yet. There are a few on the market, but they aren't what they should be. I have spoken to a guy at mean green and also a guy at Ohio gen for about an hour about how my alt uses a hairpin stator as opposed to a normal circular stator which is causing some problems with R&D because these aren't very common in car alternators. They have been around a long time, just not many companies have used the technology in alternators. Ohio Gen has 6 of my car's alternators in the shop right now and has been running tests on them for the past few months trying to figure something out. I'm patiently waiting on Ohio Gen or Mean Green to call me back and let me know they have found the answer.

Dom and Nate both have quoted me prices for a 180 and 200 amp alt. but I just can't gamble with them right now. I've read so many mixed reviews about both of them that I wish someone else would just start up a HO Alt. business and do things right the first time, all the time.

Anyways, I actually just got a D34 Yellowtop tonight and swapped it in for my stocker and had absolutely no change in voltage drop or dimming or anything, but I'm going to need it as a good base for my electrical in the hear future anyways so I have no problems that I bought it. I'm running the stock alt. which is rated at 90 amps, but the guy at Ohio Gen. told me all the ones they have benched at their shop have consistently put out 100-105 amps each at 2k rpm so i guess it's a bit underrated due to the hairpin stator technology.

I also have the big 3 done in 0/1 awg KLM and 0/1 awg from the Yellowtop to the Nine.1 in the back. And of course a short 0/1 awg ground in the back to a spot with less than .1 ohm resistance so I'm good there.

My next move is a G31 Yellowtop in the trunk if the alternator situation isn't figured out soon.

Does anyone know of a good place for me to find an Exile 2400.1? I've e-mail them already about a direct order, but from reading their forum it doesn't look like that will be happening.

Any ideas? They told me it is about 80% efficient at 1 ohm as opposed to the other companies which are from 60-70%

I have found my DD M3 to be extremely efficient...DD designed this amp to get class AB sound in a Class D package .....though rated at 2400 watts at 1 ohm...I've heard claims upto 3000 at 1 ohm.....I run my stock electrical with no big 3 on my Saleen...I updated the battery to a Batcap 2000 under the hood and one in the trunk...I have two runs of 1.0 ran one for gnd one for pos off the main battery...I ran the ground because the car is a Uni body...meaning no frame...and you need a good solid ground on any strong amp...trunk screws or self tappers cause Havoc on amps......My amp runs daily hard at 1 ohm...and I have zero light dimming....ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif DD has an M2 I don't know if it is made like the M3...but it is rated at 1700 at 1 ohm and considerbly cheaper than a M3

Yeah, the price is just a bit steep on the M3 for me. Wish I could get one though.

Autotek Mean Machines are pretty efficient even the MM4000.1. Also I am running 1 Hifonics BXI2607 @ .5 ohm and my voltage does not drop under 13v and it pushes my 2 15" HD3's just as hard if not harder than the 2 07 US Amps MD3's I had strapped to them before and does not draw anywhere near the current. I don't know why people say Hifonics don't do their power, I know this one puts out a good bit, can't wait to get my 2nd.
