I say take a serious look at the Kicker 2500
I think my post before last is gonna send him straight for the kicker,//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am in search for the most efficient amplifier on the market that does around 2k watts @ 1 ohm. I am running a Nine.1 right now, and it has horrible efficiency at 68% I have read. I love the amp and it puts out great power, but it's just not efficient enough. I'm getting too much voltage drop and drawing too much current for the amount or power I'm getting.
Please help me in my search for a very efficient 2000w @ 1 ohm amplifier.

I was looking at T20001's from RF, and I've looked at M3's from DD, but both seem to put out a little more power than what I'm looking for and a little on the pricey side. I'm willing to throw down the money, but I'd like to make sure I'm getting great efficiency and a clean signal from my subs.

Thanks.
unless you compete amp draw is really not important because you can just add a battery.

Except I can't, because I don't have much room for a bank of batteries in the trunk... I can only fit a G34 under the hood so that sucks as well.

I'm looking into the Kicker 2500 tonight.

Also, wowx20 at the Zapco price, my goodness, Our Price: $1,779.99

I read the thread about the Kicker 2500 and I'm just not sure about running it at .7 for daily, due to the fact that it's only rater down to 2 ohms... It'd be a big gamble throwing down 800 bucks for an amp that might not even handle the .7 load for daily.

Also, what is the proper way to calculate imp. rise?

well sence you will be running it that low daily you realy need to fing a M3 i have one and it is a monster i have a stinger sp1000 up front and a batcap 800 buy the amp and @ 1ohm it only pulled voltage down to 13.2 clamping 1800w rms at that instant without clipping i hear many are running them @ .5 daily and have better batteries and they have no issues as of yeat very good amps in my book

A .7 load isnt ur only option right?U could do 1.4 right? To measure imp rise I believe u need a clamp and dmm

Only the newest generation of M3s like/handle .5 daily.

i'd still just run battery's. pulling your amount of power 2 g34's and an alternator is sufficient. i ran a small yellowtop and two 2000 watt amps and had a stock alt and my voltage was good.

I have two Dual 1 SSD12's, so yeah it's .7 or 2.8 for me... I was planning on just getting another Nine.1 and strapping them but I realized they are just too inefficient so the led me on the journey of finding and efficient 2k watt amplifier to take the place of the two Nine.1's I was planning on.

Stetsom 2k
I looked into this one, and one thing i read is that the only Stetsom worth my time would be the 7k Vulcan, but also, the 2k isn't stable down to 1 ohm, only 2 ohms... Same problem with the Kicker 2500. Right now I'm trying to find out more information on pricing for the M2 and M3 from DD...

Well it's looking like I have a chance to buy an M2 for a pretty good price, but I just don't think I will see much of an improvement in SPL with only another 400 watts or so compared to my eD Nine.1

The Nine.1 is rated at 12v for 1200w @ 1 ohm

The M2 is rated at 14.4v for 1700w @ 1 ohm but possibly a little more efficient...

Does anyone have any insight? I'm starting to look around for good prices on an RF T20001bd right now with warranty and making sure it's not refurb. or b-stock or anything.
