More then 1 run of 1/0?

More than one run means exactly that. More than one wire from front battery to back, usually another battery(ies).

How much current are you running? If you dont know, how many watts and what amps? If drawing more than 300 amps, IMO it is a good idea to do multiple runs, of at least + but a lot of people also run - as well.

It's just running 2 power cables to the back of the car... twice the current carrying capacity.

It's easier to hook up multiple 1/0 power wires than to find decent wiring accessories for 2/0, 3/0, or 4/0 wire.

yeah i kinda new what it meant...just didnt know weather it was two 1/0s from battery to battery or two runs from battery to amp...thanks for the response and also im running a HK4000D off a hc2400 in the back and a hc1400 in the front soon...

You'll need at least two runs of good quality 1/0 since your car is a unibody meaning no frame...you can't get a decent ground in the back to support the current of the amp you have which it can pull in excess of 400 amps of current....

probably will do it later on in the month...basically you just crimp wire...run from the battery under the hood fuse it then crimp other end and hook up to the battery thats basically it right?

so your saying i cant run this amp at all...or u have to do atleast two runs of 1/0 + ??

yeah thats what i was going to do also run two 1/0 to the postive and maybe 2 to the - on the battery...but where am i going to ground the amp?

This is how I did my 2 runs of power and 2 runs of ground. Some of the photos are with it not being completed.

On that note, wouldn't it make sense to run an extra run or 2 from the alty to front batt? Or is the length of the wire going from alty to front batt is so short, that enough current can pass through it?
