can someone compare the alpine type x and the kicker l7 because i have a type x and was woondering if it would be much louder if purchased the l7 or even maybe 2 l7's because 2 l7 take the same amount of power as my type x supposably, also i might throw 2 type r all i want is loudness i have 1500 watts of power all these are 12's

the type X need a lot of power to get anything out of them. if you want a louder setup try something with a better sensitivity. nearly any other sub that will take the 1500watts will be louder than the alpine type X. so yes a single L7 will be louder.

The L7 should be louder. The type x is geared more for sound quality and not getting loud. Even though the L7 can sound good, most use it for just being loud easily.
