More OHMS- less power?

ok this sux, ive got a second amp but i cant even run the subs at 4 ohms bridged. wat if i were to only connect the + and - to only one side of the sub? so two of the coils on the other side would be left empty.
You have two dual voice subs? I thought they were SVC. Hmmmm. Dual 4 or dual 2 ohm each?

Oh, well then you certainly can wire up each sub parallel across the voice coils making them 2 ohms each sub, then wire then up in series giving the amp a 4 ohm load. Bridge the amp, good to go.

ya but i have 2 x 2ch stereo kac-7202 amps and 2 x 1000 watt subs.

how would i bridge one amp to one sub? i cant figure out how to get 4 ohms to run on one 4 ohm DVC sub from 1 amp bridging it.

So you have 2 subs and 2 amps?

Just use 1 amp per sub - hook up each voice coil to it's own channel on the same amp unbridged. Use RCA Y-Connectors for the input signal if you need to.

ya but if i hook 2 of the same amps to the 2 subs wont i be getting as much power as if i had 1 amp on 2 subs since u say to do it unbridged? each sub has 500rms, each amp outputs( 230x2@2ohm,and 460x1@1ohmBRIDGED) if i hook one amp to one sub unbridged will i be getting all 460 watts, or will i be getting only 230 watts to that sub? should i run it in mono bridged mode if i connect the subs as a 4ohm SVC sub and have it run at 4 ohms wich would result in 460 watts running to that sub?i think......
